Prithvi Singh, 74, lives in J Block, Jahangirpuri, with his son, daughter-in-law, a granddaughter in Class 9, and a grandson in Class 10, both studying at Kendriya Vidyalaya. On May 13, 2022, Prithvi ji suffered a paralysis attack that left him unable to walk. Despite visiting several hospitals and trying different treatments, his condition hasn't improved, and one leg remains completely paralyzed. The family is struggling to meet their daily needs. His son is the only earner, but his income is not enough to cover the household expenses, school fees for the grandchildren, and Prithvi ji's ongoing treatment. They’ve exhausted all their resources, making it difficult to afford basic needs and medical care. Your contribution can help provide Prithvi ji with a walking stick, which would allow him to regain some mobility. This small act of kindness will not only help him move around but will also ease the burden on his family, bringing much-needed relief to their situation.
I am Poorvi Wadnerkar, a first-year Master’s student in Social Work at the Delhi School of Social Work, University of Delhi. For the past two months, I have been honored to volunteer at Sampark Sathi Foundation as part of my fieldwork. This experience has been profoundly enriching and transformative, allowing me to engage with individual cases, mobilize communities, and manage events I once thought were beyond my capabilities. Being at Sampark Sathi has not only pushed me out of my comfort zone but has also ignited a passion for social work within me. The supportive environment fosters learning and growth, allowing me to explore my potential with care and compassion. I truly believe that Sampark Sathi is the best place for me to develop my skills and contribute meaningfully to the community. I look forward to continuing this journey and would love to be a part of this incredible foundation for many years to come, making a lasting impact together.
