About the Beneficiary

Raeesa Ji's husband passed away six years ago, leaving her to care for their 7-year-old daughter. Following her husband's death, her in-laws forced her out of their home. Now, she lives with her parents. Their household consists of five members: Raeesa Ji, her mother, her daughter, and two unmarried sisters. They reside in a rented house, and no one else in the family is employed. Raeesa Ji manages to cover household expenses by working in other people's homes. The family is in need of a sewing machine, which would greatly assist them in becoming more self-sufficient and improving their financial situation.

About the volunteer

Hello, I am Anshika from JDMC (Delhi University), currently pursuing a degree in Economics (Hons). I enjoy cooking, exploring new things, learning, photography, and adventure. Social work is very close to my heart because it brings me immense joy and fulfilment; I believe helping others is my duty. I recently joined Sampark Sathi as a volunteer because I want to support those in need. I am currently working on my first case, and I am excited about this journey and the positive impact I can make. A line that best describes me is: I am kind and confident.
