About the Beneficiary

Chanchal is an 11th-grade student at a government school in Daya Basti, Delhi. She lives in a joint family where her father is the sole breadwinner. Her mother suffers from epilepsy, and her brother, who recently graduated high school, is pursuing college through correspondence. Her father works as an auto driver, and in a city like Delhi, it's challenging to meet the basic needs of the family. Chanchal doesn't have enough money to buy the books she needs for her studies. In today's world, education is crucial for everyone, as it transforms individuals into better and more responsible citizens. Educating a girl child is vital for the overall growth and development of the nation's labor force. Supporting Chanchal in her educational journey will not only help her achieve her dreams but also contribute to the betterment of her family and community.

About the volunteer

I am Priya Prasad, currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Lady Shri Ram College for Women. I have a keen interest in Excel and the technology world. Coming from a privileged family, I feel a strong desire to give back to society as a "Sathi." I volunteer to gain practical knowledge and experience in this sector. Since December 2023, I have been involved in various initiatives, including eye operations, setting up health camps, and more. A line that best describes me is: "Be soft, but not weak. Be strong, but not violent."
