Kamani ji is a 32-year-old woman residing in the Zakhira area of Delhi. She completed her education up to the 12th grade and faced significant challenges in her life. After being married for 11 years, she endured a tumultuous relationship with her husband, who subjected her to physical abuse due to their struggles with conceiving a child. Six months ago, Kamani ji experienced the heartbreaking loss of a pregnancy, a tragedy compounded by the fact that her husband became violent during this difficult time, leading to the death of the child she was carrying. Following this incident, he abandoned her, leaving her to navigate life alone. Tragically, both of her parents have also passed away, which has left her without a support system. Currently, Kamani ji works as a cleaning lady in a company. Despite her hard work, the income she earns is barely sufficient to cover her rent, and she often finds it challenging to provide herself with even two meals a day. She feels trapped in her situation, struggling to make ends meet while trying to maintain some semblance of dignity in her life.
I am Pragati Tripathi, currently enrolled in B.Sc (H) Mathematics at Lady Shri Ram College for Women. My hobbies are writing poems and cooking. I have my supportive parents; they are always ready to meet my demands in any condition. But not everyone is so lucky, and I have seen such cases. My father always used to teach me that whenever I can be able to help others, I must do that, and this is the real worship of God. Following my father's advice, I came to know about the Sampark Sathi Foundation, and I have been in part since 2023. I have done cases like eye camps for poor children, cataract cases, and health camps. At last, if I could describe myself in one line, it would be "A girl full of emotions that are not in her control."
