Raheema, a widow in her late thirties, lives in a small, run-down room with her four children. After losing her husband and parents, she has no family to help. To make ends meet, Raheema works in different homes, cleaning and washing dishes, earning just enough to pay her ₹3000 rent. But after that, there’s little money left for food, healthcare, or school supplies for her children. When her youngest daughter fell sick with a fever, Raheema had to choose between buying medicine or food. Desperate, she shared her struggle with her employers, who introduced her to the Sampark Sathi for help. As her companion, I ask you to please support Raheema in getting food for her family during these hard times.
My name is Kaushiki Sharma, 18 year old Sathi at Sampark Sathi Foundation, pursuing Economics Honours from JDMC, Delhi University. My motivation for social work stems from a deep commitment to helping others and making a positive impact in my community. I want to volunteer because it's an opportunity for personal growth, to develop new skills and to be a part of something larger than myself. This is my very first case and I'm grateful to have the opportunity to join Sampark Sathi Foundation and embark on a new journey with them.
